Somerset Mental Health, PSC is a behavior health group that was formed to serve families and children in the Lake Cumberland and surrounding areas at the time of crisis. Many children in today's world experience stressful events. They are presented with painful events such as the loss of a loved one, abuse, ravages of drugs and alcohol. SMH, PSC's team of professionals have decades of experience helping children and families manage these crises. Our experience has shown us that a team approach to mental health issues helps to expedite relief and improve stressful situations. Confidentiality: Each employee of SMH has signed and is legally and ethically bound to keep all information regarding any person coming to our facility completely confidential.

Complete package of Psychological testing is available with an average 3-week delivery of written reports. An extensive clinical interview with psychological and medical history is included.

This package may include but is not limited to:
  • Intelligence Testing with instruments such as the WAIS-IV, WISC-V, and WASI-II
  • Personality Testing which includes the MMPI-II (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-Adolescent), PAI (Personality Assessment Inventory)
  • Behavioral Measurements which may include Behavioral Assessment System for Children (BASC-3), Conner's Rating Scales, or Beck Youth Inventories-Second Edition (BYI-II)
  • Academic Testing which includes Wide Range Achievement Test-Revision 4 (WRAT4), Woodcock Johnson III Test of Achievement (WJ-IV)

Psychological assessment services are offered to help analyze difficulties, diagnose disorders, and recommend intervention strategies for solving issues affecting individual children, adolescents, and adults.

When you come to our offices for your appointment, you need to do several things to make the process a fast and easy one.
  1. Be on time.
  2. As soon as you arrive at the office, please do the necessary paper work.
  3. Bring a copy of your insurance card.
  4. Bring a copy of your medical record.
